Why Relationships?
As an introverted observer of people throughout my life, I wonder what makes relationships...Relationships. There is a myriad of reasons why they work and why they don't work - things that we see everyday. My question is simply why? The aim of my blog is not only for the academic assignment, but also a personal delve into getting some answers (fact and opinion) and testing some theories on the how's,why's,and whats the deal with relationships: What makes them "tick", what are they made of, and why are they?

I always find it interesting to understand why people are the way they are. One of my pet peeves is when people have to repeat the same idea several times, as if you were deaf. I want to know why people feel the need to repeat the same thought several times. Hmmmmm...
ReplyDeleteJust testing something out.
ReplyDeleteRelationships are developed when you come out of your mothers’ womb. We develop a stage of trust vs. mistrust. This pattern can actually have a lasting impression on us. We must sit aside or differences at times and compromise. Many people are not willing to compromise or just take a step down from their pride and be like your right and I'm wrong. A relationship with a spouse can be wonderful or dreadful depending on how far you are willing to go or even compromise with a person. What make a relationship tick to me is what you really feel for the person rather it’s like, dislike, anger, love, or even hatred you still come to form a relationship or what I prefer a special bond. This bond is fulfillment and it also fill in the void in a person life they may have, or think they may not have.
ReplyDeleteI think relationships work when both people understand that no one is perfect. You have to be able to take in the good characteristics of people as well as the bad. You have to be able to sacrifice your wants for the wants of others, and you have to be able to genuinely want what is best for everyone around you even if it may not be what is most convienant for you.
ReplyDeleteI feel we all need each other for many reasons and you have to find that special someone that you "click" with or that person that makes your heart skip a beat. Moral support, to share our innermost secrets with, to laugh with, to share our deepest hurts with, just to name a few. Relationships are what make life worth living. At the end of the day, love is what sustains us all.
